Design Description: This soap is truly special. It is named for my sweet grandmother, Helen, who spent almost a century working the earth to bring forth nutritious food to feed her family, her neighbors, and every hungry mouth she found in her community of Red Level, Alabama. This soap is a triple milk soap, but this blend is buttermilk, cream, and goat's milk. It gets its super scrubbing power from ground pumice and a healthy scoop of coarse ground yellow cornmeal. Why buttermilk and cormeal? Because Southern grandparents teach you about the pleasure of a bowl of leftover cornbread drenched in buttermilk for a late night snack.
